Fringing Fairytale
What words describe
The scene to behold
Of this solitude girl
Only sixteen years old
She lingers in the fear
That she’ll die all alone
With her dreams unfulfilled
And long since postponed
Her heart is of ice
Frozen by years of regret
And too many heartbreaks
Much too hard to forget
But she’s so young!
How can this be so?
How can a girl of her age
Be filled with such woe?
Could it be
The lack of love?
Or could it be that she received
No signs from above?
Was it that
Her heart grew weak?
And her voice
Too tired to speak?
Or was it just that
The solitude drove her crazy?
Hmmm, well
Maybe
But no matter the reason
Or whatever the cause
Her loneliness remains
One of her flaws
At least until the day
Her prince charming comes along
And takes her from her fairytale
Written all wrong
