Into the Blue

Suddenly out of the blue,
I look around without a clue.
All around, crystal clear turquoise water.
Here I am, on this tropical island
Staring into the crashing blue waves
While contemplating under the cloudless azure sky.
Tears from the blue iris of my eye
Won’t change anything in the past.
All is not lost.
Into the blue I go, towards the dense tree line.
The songs of blue jays sooth my suffering.
I watch them pick at the blueberries peacefully.
I go back to the shore,
Get on my boat to go home.
Into the blue I go.
