Just One of Those Days

Preoccupied with self-grief,
This feeling is bitter-sweet.
Holding on to such feelings
Possesses a grotesque satisfaction.
I need to express myself --
Will anyone understand?
My only escape is this
Pen in my hand. As brief as it
May be - when the ink scribes
On the paper, I feel a sense of
Release. I feel happy.
