A Sad Little Princess

People think I am strong,
But they’re very wrong.
Although I show a smile,
I have problems by the mile.
Inside I want to cry
I am empty, I am dry.
Sometimes I have to scream
Awaken from my dream.
If you look into my eyes; you’ll see I want to cry
If you look into my heart; you’ll see the reasons why.
On the outside I am lovely,
But look beneath my skin—
You’ll see A Sad Little Princess
Lying there within.
