Frightening Closet

November 24, 2007
By Aaron Wilson, Commack, NY

I was wiped out, exhausted
After a long busy weekend
A gentle creak sounded from my closet door
As the night went on, I stare at my ceiling
Yet another gentle creaking sound, coming from my closet door
I quickly turned but nothing was there
A deep breath was taken, for it was beginning to scare
My heart began pounding as the noise sounded again
Sweat began to pour
As I turned my head, I came eye to eye with a monster
The heartbeat died down and sweat stopped pouring
Looking directly into its big, wide, red eyes
Staring me down, breathing loudly and deeply
A yell, a scream
And the monster stood there, forever more.
