Stand Together

June 2, 2008
By Anonymous

A woman with a stolen purse
Stands in a bookstore
To tell the manager that someone used her credit card
In this store
To buy DVDs

As the woman talks to the manager
A man walks in
To return eight DVDs for cash
The man and woman didn’t recognize each other

The manager stares at the receipt
Then goes to look at the man and woman
The manger realizes
The DVDs that were bought by the woman’s credit card
Was on the receipt

The man that stands next to the woman
Was
The thief

I liked this poem becaue it was precise and to the point. I could also really picture the whole poem. However, I feel if you add more detail into the poem, it would make it stronger.

lol. *gasp*

I think it's a good poem... but seems more like a discription/scene out of a short story. Good suspense
