   That's great to hear,

that you like someone, I mean.

I hear she's nice, and funny,

and pretty and smart.

You two would look good together.

I only wish it was me,

that you looked at, that way.

Yet here I stand; I am your friend,

true to the end,

waiting here patiently.

That's great to hear,

that she likes you too, I mean.

She thinks you're great,

and you feel the same.

I only wish it was me,

that you felt about, that way.

Yet here I stand; I am your friend,

true to the end,

waiting here patiently.

That's great to hear,

that you're happy, I mean.

You two do look good together.

And I can see it in your eyes,

the way you look at her.

You really love her.

I only wish it was me,

that you loved, in that way.

Yet here I stand; I am your friend,

true to the end,

crying here silently.

Amazing poem that's really relatable. I love the way you repeating waiting here patiently and changed it to crying here silently in the end :)
