A blade of nut grass has shown up in my yard
Known for spreading itself far and wide
You can't pull it up, it has to be killed.

A blade of racism showed up in my ancestors yard
It is known to spread itself far and wide
They couldn't pull it up, it had to be killed.

Thank you, gardeners of the mind for killing a deadly weed that inhabited the world.

Well, this is a really nice poem but also kind of scary in a way. The picture goes well with the poem.
