From the Moment we are born.
From the moment we are born we learn
we learn to walk, to talk, stand on our own two feet
we learn not to touch the stove cause its hot and it burns
we learn red blue and green. 1, 2, and 3, and A B C
we learn to read and to write
but with all this knowledge filling our heads
we forget...
we forget how to laugh,
how it is to love,
what it feels like to hope
we forget that things really do go bump in the night
but what does go bump in the night should not be feared
it should be treasured and held on to
cause the things that go bump in the night aren't ghouls and goblins
they are your friends your lovers and your brothers and sister0
they go bump in the night not to scare you but to draw you out
draw you out into the night where there is still mystery
where you can still learn, where you can relearn all that you have forgotten.
