I hear them knocking late at night,
Awakening me in quite a fright
Until I realize the comfort inside
from the bedpans, knock, knock, knocking

People may scowl and people may stare
from the smell of the bedpans filling the air.
They may scoff and I will let them snicker
for they never know who will next be in their knickers
the next time they are in the hospital.
Ill be there with the bedpans, knock, knock, knocking

Grandfathers, grandmothers, moms and dads
leave the building with nary a scab;
but they will remember the bedpan lady
always in the background and a little shady.
But without me you would die...
Ok maybe not but you would be very uncomfortable

It's really necessary; the bedpans that is.
They and I may be left with teh dirty "biz"
but we will make it through, come what may.
And there we both shall be; I staring, and them dripping
with the sweet nectar of love, and of course urine.
Knock... knock......knocking
