I Still Miss My Ex, But My Aim is Getting Better
You decided to keep your relationship a secret.
He gave you a feeling you could not get
Anywhere else but when your lips met.
Now you’re entangled in his fishing net.
He said he couldn’t handle the responsibility
But that’s not the reason, it seems to me.
You told him everything fearlessly,
But he threw you off of him carelessly.
I thought I knew how this would end.
I can’t apologize enough my friend.
He wrote it out in a text message; pressed send.
We will be here to help your heart to mend.
I know you hate to think it but I daresay he used you.
You can’t tell if his “loving” you is true.
If I were you, tell him to get a clue
While he’s at it, he should get a life too.
I know you probably feel like your life is falling apart.
It sucks, that little demon, he broke your heart.
When you are well enough to see this part
The best piece of life, the piece that’s not tart.
Your life can move on, now that that scumbag is really gone.
You’ll see that what he did was abandon.
You’ll look back, be thankful it wasn’t a run-on.
Now you can become yourself: a fair swan.
