Celery Night

A girl sits alone at night,
she cries softly from her eyes,
trees whisper behind her,
as the stars try to find her.
She was loved by a boy,
who she thought was everything,
but he left her for a girl,
who promised to take off her ring.
This girl is strong,
she tries to do her best,
no boy can take her down,
unless they pass the test.
Behind her sounds the footsteps,
as a figure appears,
dark haired and beautiful,
he whips away her tears and says
"Baby don't cry,
you'll find another guy,
whose willing to give his life for you,
i know it sounds too good to be true.
But i promise you some day,
a man will appear in your life,
do not be afriad,
don't forget to try."
She turns away from the lovely boy,
her tears hard and dry,
in her heart she knw the truth,
and the secrets and the lies.
He puts on ehand upon her cheek,
and she wills herself not to cry,
instead she turns her body,
lifts her hands and sighs.
She is so tired,
of mistakes that turn into life,
never will being unperfect,
fit in her alibi.
So she raises her head, level,
to the boy she sits beside,
his celery eyes twinkle,
as the stars fade at night.
She puts one hand upon his cheek,
and he wills himself not to cry,
and as she lifts her lips towards his,
he lets out a sigh.

I really like this poem. It shows the how flighty and fickle teenagers are.
