Today I am 5'1",
Tomorrow I am 6 Feet,
Yesterday I was 4'0" and shrinking.

Today I am 5'1",
The insults and casual remarks
slide down my body to the floor.

They gather.

Tomorrow I am 6 feet,
With my high heels on,
My 12 inch heels.

So unsteady.

Tomorrow I am 6 feet,
I push the insults,
Shoving them with delight.

They gather.

Yesterday I was shrinking.

Tomorrow I am 6 feet,
My feet hurt,
(to insult another is to find fault with oneself)
The insults feel so good sliding,
Gliding down my body.

They gather.

Today I am 5'1",
The insults glide on down.
(Solely because of gravity,
Nothing stops gravity)
And I watch them gather,
And guess what,

They gather.

They do not sink away,
They gather,
And I drown.

Today I am 5'1",
And I need my 12 inch heels
because I am sinking.
The insults,
(pulled down by gravity)

They gather.
And they drown me.

Tomorrow I am 6 feet,
With 12 inch heels.
So unsteady.
Yesterday I was 4'0",
And shrinking.

Today I am 5'1",
With 12 inch heels,
And drowning.
As the insults meander
down My body,

They gather.
