Perfect was a book I would have never guessed would actually be pretty insightful for me. Each chapter was a new day and each day got deeper into the 13 year old’s life. It really opened my eyes to the disorder as i’ve never really knew too much about it. It’s not the most exciting of stories but I think it’s worth the read. It’s short and simple but doesn’t dissapoint.

The book follows the life of Isabelle Lee, a 13 year old girl who suffers from bulimia. Her home life is far from perfect and the struggles of fitting in at school is just too much for Isabelle. One night, her sister catches her with her fingers  down her throat and gets sent her away to “Eating Disorder and Body Image Therapy Group.” It’s there, to her surprise, that she see’s the most popular girl in school walk through the door. Their shared secret almost forces them closer as they both recover from the disease.
