The Horse and His Boy, by C.S. Lewis, is a book full of fantasy and whimsy. Shasta, an orphan boy, runs away from home with a talking horse, Bree. On the way he meets another runaway girl, Aravis, who travels with them on their journeys. The travelers go on several adventures including escaping the royal palace, informing the king of an attack on his kingdom, and fighting armies to the death. At the end of the book, Shasta finds something out about his life that he could never have imagined. If you are into fantasy and magic this is the book for you.
