This book will have you biting your fingernails while you anticipate what the next sentence has in store. Meet Max- Ernest, the jokester driven by logic and Cassandra, the survivalist with a longing for adventure. This dynamic duo comes together when they try to solve the mystery of the dead magician. After they find out the mysterious box of scents labeled “The Symphony of Smells” which belongs to the magician, they go on a secret adventure to find his diary. There is just one problem; someone else is looking for the diary as well. Bosch calls them, “A Striking Couple.” This couple also has alarming secrets.

They find the diary and can’t stop reading it. The diary uncovers the unusual childhood of the magician and his beloved brother. They know a secret that will change them forever. But this “Striking Couple” is still searching for the diary and the kids, while the ever so curious Cass and Max go to their spa/ hotel, The Midnight Sun.
