The Lost Boy by Dave Pelzer

David Pelzer is living a nightmare. His mother treats him worse than a slave. While living in Daly City, California his teachers fight to get him free and escape the tortures from his monstrous mother. He goes to many different foster homes where he is treated differently and meets many different people and different lifestyles and ways to live. They all help him move on and keep him safe from his mother.
I think this is a great book because the author makes it come to life. Dave made it seem as if I were there. It made me cry and made me think of what kind of monsters are out there in the world. I would definitely read this book again.

I recommend this book to people who like to read true stories and like to hear about the sad things that happen in the world everyday. Also to people that like happy endings like the one Dave had. I don't recommend this to people who are sensitive and can't stand sad stories.
