"Home" by Morgan Chesley was an emotional nonfiction piece that deeply affected me. The narrator, Morgan helped me come to a realization to not take things for granted. In her piece, she told the readers about the time her home was burnt during an electrical fire. The narrator and her family had no home but were amazed at what their community did to pitch in and help them cope. The narrator mentioned how although her home was gone, she learned that her family was supportive enough to make up for the loss. This helped me realize that everyday things should not be taken for granted because they can be gone any day. As I read, I found myself filling up with tears of sympathy. This narrative nonfiction article really touched my heart.

I just now found this review- thank you so much! It really means a lot to me that my experience touched someone so deeply. I'm glad to know there's someone out there who won't take some things for granted because of me. You made my day, my friend :)
