Inspired by and adapted from a Janet S. Wong poem
“Face It”
My cheeks,
bounce when I run
soft when touched
round and fat when I smile
and even if I don’t.
I can see it clearly, who they come from…
my mother!

My forehead
big, round, and above my eyebrows.
Same as my father’s
the only look I got from him.

My eyes
round and small
where my emotions lie
degrading my lies
full of my tears when I cry!
I am the only one to make those tears come out.
