The writing titled "Styrofoam Pills," written by Lena, Sammamish, talks about a suicide attempt. Her writing left me feeling dumbfounded.

I found the text slightly relateable, because a friend of mine tried to commit suicide, though I didn't actually witness it. The text says that "she's so pale, trying and failing to keep her dilated blue eyes open." That quote sets up the tone of the situation and how grave her sister looks. Also, the text states that "she's terrified of loud noises now. She flinches when I use the ice dispenser, or if anyone yells. Her room is her safe place, and you have to be invited in, otherwise she grows frantic." This shows the consequences of her overdosing and the side effects of the treatments for it.
