The Snowflakes Fall Silently in the Night
The snowflakes fall silently in the night
  Disrupting nothing, just simply coating
Like powdered sugar, making the town white
A peaceful present for children sleeping
Footsteps are indented in the blanket
Icicles are hanging from the houses
On the sleds upon hills, the people sit
What a beautiful winter day it is
But as March and April come back around
A warm breeze passes through the frosted town
Now colorful flowers sprout from the ground
Showers of rain will begin coming down
And the winter’s white snow will melt away
Leaving no trace, for winter can not stay
