I dream of something hard to reach,
Something few can fully achieve;
A feeling impossible to teach,
But we’ve all had glimpses, I believe;

I dream of smiling as I fall asleep at night,
And laughing till my stomach hurts;
Of applause as the lights shine bright,
And butterflies from a boy who flirts;

I dream of late-night shenanigans and exploration,
Traveling the world with the one i love;
Of awakening to a child’s fixation,
And sensing a presence from those above;

I dream of something beautiful, something beyond the storm,
I dream of perfect happiness in its purest, greatest form.
