He bowed his head for his evening prayer
he bent down on one knee –
and accidently, the world beneath he did see…
There he gazed upon a girl with a spirit so rare,
she was seductive and sensational and beyond compare!
Enticed, entranced he thought to descend –
but surely he would not, could not dare!
A feeling stirred within him that he couldn’t comprehend –
he unfolded his wings of pure, dove white
knowing that this would probably be his bitter end.
Black went his wings, black as the night.
He departed heaven, traded in his chaste soul
for his heart she had inadvertently stole.
