Around the corner of a corner store,
I came across a man with a snow globe
Who said: “Paradise lies within this globe:
Snow gently falls without interruption;
Flakes collectively adorn the housetop
Without melting into sharp icicles.
Even in heat, the snowman never dies.
And on the label is a festive cheer:
‘’Tis the season to let hearts grow with love!’
This snow globe is my beautiful refuge.”
But none of this seem’d genuine to me.
Curs’d was the glass that mock’d my existence!
I smash’d it. But this wonderland faded
And all that remain’d was the plastic snow.
