Paradise

I don't need palm trees on a grassy lawn

Nor servants tending to my every whim;

A coconut within my hand, upon

A beach with men so good and looks so prim.

My satisfaction lies where greatness does,

A purposeful life and wisdom that guides;

Where I can pledge to justice real, because

It's nonexistent now. My paradise

Is sadly not my home, but where we die

With wrinkles and a life well spent, Alas

I'll have to tell my kids they cannot cry

If someone comes to school and shoots it fast.

The happiness, the Paradise, lies where

The land is equal and the men are fair.
