Our mind controls our heart
The essence of this truth frightens me
Our body is a work of art
Yet it expresses not all that God can see

Dark shadows hide within
No one can see the truth
Our outward appearance may hide our sin
But these effects fade with youth

I feel myself reach down deep
A light is found inside
This light I hope to keep
For it is where my spirit shall reside

For where light shall sound
God is found
