The stars shine down upon your golden hair
As I do gaze from balcony on high
Eyes bright lips red and skin that is so fair
Tonight for your affections I must vie.
Poised like a hunter ready for the chase
Voracious Eyes doth follow where you go
My heart condemns those thoughts that are so base
But deep desire does not decrease or slow.
Descending as a hawk upon his prey,
My silent steps approach your sweet perfume
The music slows and ‘round us bodies sway
By sight of your face are my eyes consumed.
A kiss upon my cheek thus ends my plight,
As morning comes with sun to end the night.
