The Dance

They waltz along the horizon
They tango high in the sky
They move so effortlessly
They have no fear of heights
They are not afraid to fall
They dance all day and night
They are graceful and endearing
They sail the sky like forgotten kites
How she wishes that she could join them
Fly just above the water
Spread her wings and soar
Up and away from a world that forgot her
But this is just a dream
She is chained to the ground below
So she sits and watches the birds
Dance in the sky, give her a show.
