I’m so sorry.
I’m sorry I’m not who you planned on me being.
I’m sorry my present isn’t the future you were seeing.

I’m sorry I don’t live up to your expectations.
I’m sorry I don’t pass your everyday evaluations.

I’m sorry I’m a disgrace to you.
I’m sorry I shame you in everything I do.

I’m sorry I can’t be everything you wanted.
I’m sorry I’m a mistake that leaves you haunted.

I’m sorry I can’t be who you want me to be.
But most of all I’m sorry you can’t love me for me.
I’m so sorry.
