two quarters, three dimes and five pennies change
jangle in clasped fists through busy sidewalks
coated in sweat and dirt from days toil
a less than favorable state for the most important change in the city.
take two hops past the lady in blue
narrowly escape from the street preachers
run to the nearest stop in sight
throw the change in the box and ride the bus home
