What Happened to Us?

We pass by but we both look away
I pretend not to see you and I sigh
Deep inside I really have something to say
Wishing it’s the same between you and I
I wonder how things ended up this way
Our fairytale turned into a bad dream
Oh how I truly wish you would have stayed
But you gave up on us, or so it seems
Without you my heart is an open sore
But I know that fate really brought us as one
I hope we can be together once more
Now it appears that we are finished, done
One day I will have my happily ending
Who knows, but for now my heart is mending
