Can a friend get any better than mine?
She is as rare as a daisy in snow,
Without her I would not be doing fine.
There is no one like her, surely she knows.

Is it common to find such a great friend?
Everyone deserves to have one like her.
One that will be there for you til’ the end.
Company like her is needed for sure.

People must have an Angie of their own.
But, can there be other people like her?
I am not so sure, since the thought has grown.
One day I know I shall find the answer.

Yet, she has her idiomatic ways.
Angie will always succeed to amaze.

The author's comments:
I wrote this piece as an assignment for my English class and felt very compelled to write about my wonderful best friend because one of the tones we could have chosen for the sonnet was friendship. Angie is my closest friend and means the world to me.
