happily ever after

Two people get MARRIED together
because they understood each other
Now there is a change in the weather
here love does not matter.
A girl from Canada
has to MARRY a boy in Canada
Parents want her to marry after high school
“she has no real future ‘cuz she is a fool”.
Lack of money and being sick might also be a factor
her parents do not believe in love sector
Agreeing with her parents seems to be a piece of cake
but rising from nothing to something will be great.
There is a decision to be made
either will shape a different fate.

The author's comments:
the theme of this poem is introduced through words in it.. The point was to write about the things I am passionate about and I know a lot. When new themes were introduced to the class, the word marriage caught my attention. I started writing about forced marriages and when it started taking shape then I continued and finished it.
