Summer is my favorite time of year.
Sitting by the beach soaking in the sun,
While swimming in the ocean brings much cheer.
Along with a boardwalk which contains fun.
All throughout the warm nights I sit outside,
Lay back and look at the stars way up high.
Early morning searches for small seashells.
Many swarms of sea gulls fly swiftly by.
Outside in the hot sun getting a tan.
To cool off I eat some Italian ice.
The heat is scorching I sit by the fan,
Thinking of snow that is chilling and white.
A time to unwind, a time for no school,
A time to relax and sit by the pool.
