I’m thinking over our bizarre romance,
In hiding now, whispers and silhouettes;
To feel my rush of blood gallop and dance,
You pull me in the dark; our blood’s duets.
We share sugary sparks with melting lips,
And you trail fairy dust along my spine.
Our bodies form a watery ellipse;
I nibble on your nose, and you peck mine.
We laugh as kisses go unknown below,
And when you part, I know you’ll come again,
Because, despite my flight two years ago,
I’ve hurt you, and beside me you remain.
But, by and by, it’s time for me to flee,
Another life is all you seem to see.
