"Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were. But without it we go nowhere."
Carl Sagan

As midnight falls I still shall be
awake outside in the icy dark night
gazing upon wonders, if you could see
the wondrous things happen after light.

Shining stars glow, overtaking the moon
I watch as it slides across the deep sky.
The thin layer of clouds will cover soon
hiding this magic spread across, so high.

The sun sinks below the western skyline
in a burst of colors, a pretty sight.
When the winds blow and heat starts to decline
says hi to night and goodbye to the light.

The night holds many wonders worth seeing
some of which just urge you to keep dreaming.

Every night I seem to be watching this whole event outside my window, and it just makes you think, makes you inspired, you know?
