Caress my spirit with gentle fingers
Softy whisper Your Truth into my ears
Embrace my soul with a Hope that lingers
Bestow to me Your Peace to quench my fears

Kiss my cracked heart with Your lips of Healing
That initiated my existence
Revive within me my sense of feeling
Teach me the art of loving resistance

In this morbid world that rejects Your Voice
You are like a strong oak tree in a storm
You influence me—in motive, in choice
Against chills of Loneliness are You warm

I trust You, and upon You I depend
For a bond made with You can never end
