I Hate Sonnets

I do not like to write sonnets at all,
I do not like how it is specific.
They do make me cry they do make me bawl.
I’d rather drop myself in the pacific.
To write this poetry, I cannot do.
Shakespeare was way better at this than I.
Alas I am now only half way through.
Please someone strike me now so I can die.
I am not even sure I did this right.
I know all of the rules all of the beats
With the bluh-blah, bluh-blah, bluh-blah, we fight.
Does this suit you, for me it was no treat.

Finally this sun has set!
