‘Tis the little things to make a man glad,
Such as family to be found with me.
Alliance is not to make a man sad,
But together they will end happily.
Fall, Winter, Summer, Spring are things to bring
For the seasons make us grow healthier
If these are happy things than joyfully sing
We always will grow a bit wealthier
Sadness may come along for the ride
Looking at you made me want to cry
But be as it may be, we stand with pride
You told me these things just with your eye
Since the little things make a boy happy
You will always be in my sympathy
