Why has God chosen such a poor soul,
To join him in Heaven, and walk His streets of gold?

Though I steal, and I cheat, and I lie,
He has never failed to leave my side.

I ponder why it’s me He’s selected,
He answers because we’ve rejected.

For we shall strive to not ignore the Father,
As I seek to become His honoring daughter.

As our hearts yearn for peace and equality,
We learn the ways of the Lord are not a democracy.

While darkness strikes and hate gets inside,
The Lord will stand strong, and will not deny!

What’s the reasoning behind this lost girl he chose?
On the third day He lived, and for me He arose!
