My mother's father

I cut myself
I embarrassed you
I was in pain
You looked right through

He came into my bed
You called me a liar
I wanted to be dead
You told me to aim higher

You told me I was overwight
And I completely stopped eating
So maybe it was simply fate
That I couldn't stop the bleeding

Unless, of course
One does infer
That you started this comparison
And now I'm just like her
