What is unseen all the time

But always close behind

Waiting for our weakest moment

Watching all the time

Is sadness in the flesh

And is the greatest crime

Taking people we hold dear

Spilling so many a tear

And waiting just below

Never chooses

Always takes

And causes such a blow?

I wrote this in fifth grade and it was the first poem I had ever written. I had just heard that my grandfather had dies and I started writing and couldn't stop. In the end, I ended up with this. It maed my parents cry... I dont think it's that good, but maybe it is worth
