Come; join me tonight at the Masquerade
Where nothing seems to be as it appears!
Choose your mask and let me guess your charade.
Chooseth the one that will impress one's peers.
Forget about what is pleasing to you,
Tonight is a night of harsh scrutiny.
Choose wisely, not just anything will do.
Tonight you will be judged subjectively.
The Masquerade ends as night turns to day,
Time to return to your pumpkin-like state.
The lovely sounds of the ball drift away
As for tonight's Masquerade, you must wait.
So please tell me friend, what mask will you wear?
{To people of justice and truth, beware.}

The author's comments:
Don't ever try to please others by acting like someone you're not, because no matter how many times you change there will be others that will want you to change again... Stay true to who you are and wear your own mask proudly.
