Who Cares?

If I were to leave today
To go and never come home
Would anyone realize my departure?
Search the woods with a fine-tooth comb?

My brother already has taken my place
My family praises his sports and grades
Where I know my works can never compare
I feel abandoned beneath this barricade

Who among my friends would truly know
If I met with a grisly fate
If I went missing and was never heard from again
Their own lives would facilitate

I feel stripped of love and lain bare
Alone in a world where no one cares.
