Sleep

If my genie could grant one final boon,
Indecision won’t even cross my mind--
I’ll make this request, it’s quite opportune,
It will solve all the problems of mankind.
If the whole world could get a full day of sleep
And let consciousness drift away slowly,
A thin line of thought to darkness does leap.
Minds are at peace—everything is holy.
Fatigue would not be endured by any,
Fresh minds and souls would be seen every day.
Smiles will shine bright and gleam like a penny.
Nothing will manage to lead us astray.
If I could make the last wish of my life,
I would wish for a nap instead of strife.
