Let us not fall apart in these first days,/
For the beaus you lose cannot be replaced./
We will stand together, even with grays;/
For these two hearts were destined to be laced./
If this is love, it will last forever./
Surviving through good times and the rotten,/
Despite crude opinions of another;/
Of which neither of us have forgotten./
We spend our days laughing and playing./
Staying up late just to chatter with him,/
Our school work, we are still delaying;/
While the lights gradually become dim./
Over time he has become my best friend./
For him, it is my bold heart that I lend./

The author's comments:
In English my class was reading Romeo and Juliet, so my teacher gave us an assignment to write a sonnet. I'm not much of a poem writing, but I hope you like it. Enjoy :3
