Life's Canvas
Life, a blank canvas waiting for color
Each day, a brush stroke paints true destiny
Vibrant and rich are some days, others duller
 Every artist capturing beauty

Triumph and success bring orange and red
 Despair and desolation painted blue
One wrong hand motion causes so much dread
A fatal mistake ruins perfect hues

Layers upon layers shield the error
Life goes on and the artist continues
The brush is dipped, a look of sheer terror
The paint has run thin, and lost is the muse

Once lively tints begin to fade and enlace
The absence of color, black, takes their place
