Into the woods I wander nervously
Dark shadows shift as day draws to an end
They listen as leaves crumble noisily
The shadows part and moaning branches bend
Today, at last, must give her hand to night
And I must keep my trembling feet in motion
So far I've gone, now you are out of sight
And I must try to stop this night's commotion
The shadown follow close behind my trail
Which way to turn, I feel I'll never know
I trip, I fall, and now I fear I'll fail
Since shadows tend to lurk somewhere below
And though this night has brought me to my knees
The shadows hold no power with the trees
