"And as imagination bodies forth the forms of things unknown, the poet's pen turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing a local habitation and a name"- William Shakespeare

By night you stole the treasure of my heart
You crossed the threshold with your charm and grace
You burst the doors, you broke the lock apart
And carrying it away, you left no trace

Love’s arrow pierced my unsuspecting chest
The bolt descending from the azure sky
Now Cupid’s poison burns within my breast
And haunting lights shine from my glimmering eye

Where once my spirit gamboled wild and free
Submitting now, it has become a slave
My vast desires have filled a boundless sea
But now your favor is all that I crave

Before I wandered heedless, free from care
Alas, your love has caught me unaware
