Empty smiles and heartfelt liars
Fill up my life, which has turned so cold.
I stare at old photographs with desire,
Wishing to relive the stories they told.
Hearts doodled in black ink once expressed
the feelings that wandered throughout my soul.
Now all i possess is this empty chest,
And a heart thats been mended into a black hole.
Forgive me now as i recollect pieces
To a puzzle that has sat in silence for months
Each jumbled sentence muttered slowly releases
the grip on that which we had once.
But i've come to realize i'll never regret
those feelings that each breath won't let me forget.
